Essay

I always loved football. It was my favourite sport since I was a child. I used to play with my friends at school and I was a really good football player. My uncle used to take me to see football matches because he is a fanatic of the Athletic Club de Bilbao and we went each Sunday in San Mamés. I miss that, when a football player scored a goal and my uncle shouted, laughed and cried at the same time.

Apart from football I like skiing. I used to go to the Pyrenees with my father every winter because we lived relatively close. He bought me a pair of snow boots, ski sticks and skis. He was really good and he taught me to ski well. My mother and my sister didn´t  like skiing so they used to wait for us in the café.

However, nowadays I prefer surfing. I usually do it in Cadiz because there are incredible beaches to practice surfing. At first surfing was difficult for me because I have panic to shark attacks. I have phobia to them. When I stopped of thinking on them I improved, and now, every summer I go to Cadiz and I surfing with many people who love surfing like me, Hugo Silva included. All while the beach isn´t crowded.

Regarding to the dangerous sports I don´t really like them. I don´t like take any risks even with protective clothing or pads. I prefer team sports or how I said, skiing or surfing but when I see people doing skydiving my heart quickens.

In summary, I am a person with a sport spirit but quietly, without extreme situations. I love doing sports with my family and friends and, in my opinion, that is the reason why I amuse practicing any sport.

Thesis

I. When you are studying a foreign language, there are several ways to improve your use of the language.

II. One way to improve the language is going abroad to a country where the mother-tongue is the one that you are studying.

   A. Going abroad is the best thing that you could do because you have to speak this language all the time.

   B. You coexist with natives and that is good to improve a language.

III. Another way to study a language is going to meetings with natives.

   A. That is a good idea because you could do it in your own town and it is free.

   B. You make native friends and maybe they could invite you to their country one day.

IV. Keep in contact with technologies like the Internet.

   A. The Internet is very useful to find a wid variety of words, expressions and rules.

   B. You could find there all about the language that you are studying.

V. There are many ways to study and improve a language so everybody can do it. 

My grandmother

My grandmother is my most admired family member. She is the best grandmother of the world and I'm so lucky for that. She used to take care of me when I was a child and we spent all the time together. When I need something she is the person with whom I can always count. Although we are separated(because she lives in Bilbao and I live in Murcia) she is always asking me how I am and if I need anything. She usually come to visit me once every two months and I love the days in which she is here. She is the reason why we are a very close-knit family and I'm very glad with her with that. She is very kind with everybody and she is a lovely person. I love her too much.

Christmas holidays

I love Christmas holidays. I really think that they are my favorites holidays. I would like it to be longer, as the summer but...I love them. I usually go to Bilbao first to see my mother's family because I'm living in Murcia and I don't see them very often. I spend four or five days playing with my little cousins and giving kisses to my granny. She is the best grandmother of the world, I swear it.

After Bilbao, I go with my father and his partner to Cadiz to see more family. They are my father's partner family. I love them because they are really funny and we always do the invisible friend with jokes as a presents. 

In New Year's Eve I'm coming back to Murcia to spend the night with my friends. This is the best night of the year. And on this New Year's  Eve a Italian friend of mine is coming to visit me and I'm very very happy with that. I can't wait for 19 of December! 

Advantages or disadvantages of something

The advantages or disadvantages of the cinema.

One advantage of going to the cinema is that you can watch the film in a enormous screen eating popcorns with your friends (the popcorns doesn't taste equal in your house). Another advantage is the 3D films. You can watch these films in a big screen and it is amazing how the objects are flying to you. If you go to the cinema you can watch the movies when they are released, but if not you have to wait it out on TV. But cinema has disadvantages too. The tickets are very expensive and it is cheaper watch the film in your house. The image quality is not good because it is a projector. Some people make noise during the film, talking, screaming, laughing or crying. But the worst thing is the mobile phone, when the ringtone sounds in the film room. 

        

Comparative/contrast paragraph

I was born and I used to live in a small town. There were beaches, green mountains and silence. Now I live in a city with cars and a lot of people talking and talking in the street. There are big differences between both places. In my natal town there was only two clothes shops and three supermarkets, and people knew each other. At nights there wasn't parties, only some bars to go with your friends. In the city where I live now there are million shops and shopping centers, a lot of types of restaurants and too many discos and bars to have fun at night with your friends. Depend of the person if prefer live in a small town or in a city. In my case I prefer the small town because of the tranquility. 

Opinion paragraph

Some people think that human rights are far more important than animals rights but is not like this. There is a middle point. You can love animals but you need to eat some of them to survive and have all the nutrients that you need. In my case I have a rabbit. I love it and if it die I died, but I like rabbits for eat. I didn't meet the animal that I ate. In my opinion you have to have a emotional connection with the animal to feel pity. But there is a limit. There are some animals that we can eat, and dogs and cats are not included.

                        

Problem/solution

It is true that many young people don't know how to have a good time without smoking and drinking. Modern teenagers are strongly influenced by them friends and if one drink, all of them drink. It is the same case with smoking. Sometimes they unconsciously copy their friends acts and for my mind it is perfectly hideous. It is pathetic when they are showing off because they drink and smoke with 15 years only for make friends. They have to know that drinking affect their mood and their organs.

You can stay healthy if you control your bad habits. You can go out with your friends and have lot of fun without drinking, in my opinion you are going to have more fun if you don't drink. I recommend people to stop smoking because it is one of the most harmful thing for the health.

Something that I like but most people don't like

Why are people scared of the Basque Country? When I say that I am from the Basque Country, people ask me if I am afraid of living there with ETA or with all the people who want to be independent. ETA is not always acting in the Basque Country and we can't live scared. Also, I have to say most part of the population there wants to continue being Spanish. When I invited friends to my house in Bilbao, their parents didn't allow them to go there. They said that it was dangerous. Due to these predjudices they are missing one of the most beautiful sceneries of Spain. The Basque Country has green mountains, amazing cliffs and beautiful beaches. It also has very nice people and awesome cooks. All the people must taste the Basque Typical food. And my point is that I can talk about the Basque Country or judge it because I know it.

Describe someone

I am going to describe my little sister because is who stay with me everydays. My sister´s name is Malena and she has 17 years old. Physically she is tall and thin, she has brown eyes and brown hair.
We are always fighting and we are not a really good friends but I was passing through a bad moment and she was the only one who was helping and defending me and I really estimated this, because I thought that I was alone and she showed me that I wasn´t. For that reason, I have to say that have a sister is the best thing that could happen to someone.

The best four months of all my life

   The last four months I was living in Clonmel, a little town in South Tipperary, Ireland. I went to Ireland because I needed to improve my english for this year. I was an au pair in a house, living there with a family and taking care their children. I fell in love with the kids. The older is Colm, and he is 7 years old. After him is Cian, who is 5 years old. And my little baby is Niall, he is lovely and difficult at the same time. I had to take the children to the playground, to the ice cream shop and play the wii with them. 

   In Clonmel there were at least, eight spanish au pairs so I could go out with them every weekend. There were french, german and italian au pairs too.We met irish people too in pubs and discos.

   I travelled around the island with my friends and my family and I have to say that Ireland is beautiful. The Cliffs of Möher, Glendalough, Galway, Dublin, Cork... And I was in Northern Ireland. I have no words to describe the scenery. The Giants Causeway, the Carrick-a-rede bridge, Dunluce Castle...I´m going to add photos later.

   I went to all the hurling matches( typical sport of Ireland) with the other au pairs, and this were the best experiences of my life in Ireland. I really enjoyed there. Tipperary was on the final but it lost...

   I was really sad in my last day in Ireland but I know that I'm going to come back to visit my friends and my host family.
